Wash Bags
Silva Labs began from a simple need: finding filtration bags that met the standard I wanted to use myself.
After a brand I had relied on stopped producing its bags, I struggled to find a replacement that offered the same combination of performance, construction, and consistency. Instead of settling for what was available, I began developing my own.
What started as a personal project quickly grew through word of mouth. Friends began asking for sets, then more people followed, and eventually Silva Labs entered its first retail location.
Since then, the focus has remained the same: continuous improvement. Every generation of Silva Labs bags has been refined with stronger construction, better reinforcement, improved stitching, and greater attention to durability and performance.
Today, Silva Labs is built around a straightforward standard: create filtration equipment that is reliable, precise, and strong enough for repeated use.
We make the bags we want to use ourselves, and we continue improving them with every production run.
At Silva Labs, every material choice is intentional.
Most filtration bags on the market are made with nylon because nylon is known for strength and flexibility. But that flexibility comes from stretch, and for us, micron precision matters more. We use premium food grade polyester mesh because it is more dimensionally stable and helps the micron openings remain consistent through repeated use.
When a bag is rated at a specific micron size, we want it to keep performing as close to that rating as possible over time. That consistency is one of the main reasons we choose polyester and why we do not use nylon mesh.
We then reinforce the areas that take the most stress with high quality 600D material, thicker reinforced borders, and triple stitching. Instead of depending on stretch for strength, we build strength directly into the construction of the bag.
We also believe professional filtration equipment should be fairly priced. These are working tools that are used repeatedly and will eventually need to be replaced. Customers should not have to pay inflated prices simply because the product is specialized.
That is why Silva Labs focuses on premium materials, strong construction, accurate filtration, and fair pricing. A lower price does not mean a lower standard. It means we choose to put more value into the product instead of adding unnecessary markup.
